I submitted a comedy manuscript for publication when I was 17. It was rejected--partially on the grounds that it wasn't funny. I tried writing a novel, but only got a third of the way through. Now, a decade and a half later, I've finished my first manuscript and am shopping for agents--hail mary pass!
